There were no changes among No. 1 teams in this week’s AL.com volleyball rankings.
Class 7A McGill-Toolen, Class 6A Spanish Fort, Class 5A St. Paul’s, Class 4A St. James, Class 3A Bayside Academy Class 2A St, Luke’s, Class 1A Addison and AISA Coosa Valley are still No. 1.
Spanish Fort, St. James, Bayside, St. Luke’s, Addison and Coosa Valley have been ranked No. 1 throughout the season.
The top four in Class 7A held with McGill-Toolen leading the rankings followed by Mountain Brook, Huntsville and Hoover, but there were several changes after those, including the first appearance in the top 10 by Tuscaloosa County at No. 7.
Class 3A Bayside (28-1) ran its winning streak to 23 straight matches with two wins in the past week, including downing Class 7A top-ranked McGill-Toolen (23-5). Bayside’s only loss came to Class 7A eighth-ranked Vestavia Hills during the opening weekend of play.
AISA top-ranked Coosa Valley (12-0) is the only No. 1 still undefeated.
