Lady Tamaraws bulldoze the Lady Warriors

Rookie Toni Basas leads FEU with 12 points, while Bernadeth Pons adds 11, and the Lady Tamaraws win in straight sets vs the Lady Warriors

MANILA, Philippines – The FEU Lady Tamaraws improved their record to 2-1 in the UAAP Season 77 women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday, December 3, at The Arena in San Juan City.

FEU made quick work of the UE by sweeping them in three sets, 25-14, 25-13, 25-19.

Rookie Toni Basas led the way for FEU with 12 points, while Bernadeth Pons finished with 11. Remy Palma and Jerrili Malaban combined for 15 points.

FEU established an early lead in both the first and second sets and cruised to easy wins. In the third set, both clubs played each other close early on, but the Lady Tamaraws managed to go on a late run to pull away and seal the victory.

"Siyempre, we're happy. But we need to train hard pa para sa next naming mga kalaban," FEU head coach Shaq De Los Santos told the media after the game.

(Of course, we're happy. But we need to train hard for our next opponents.)

"Kulang pa kami sa pagbabasa sa atake nang kalaban." (We still need to improve on reading the attacks of our opponents.)

Shaya Adorador and Leuseht Dawis, put up 13 and 7 points, respectively, to lead University of the East, who is now 0-3 this season and losers of 17 straight games.
