MANILA, Philippines - The Adamson Lady Falcons earned their second win in the women's volleyball tournament of the UAAP's 77th season by sweeping the FEU Lady Tamaraws, 25-19, 27-25, 25-13, on Sunday, December 7 at The Arena in San Juan City.

Mylene Paat led Adamson recording a career-best 17 points on 13 spike points, 4 block points, and an ace. Second-year player Gemma Galanza also had an impressive outing, putting up 16 markers, while Amanda "Mands" Villanueva contributed 10.

Adamson, now 2-2, didn't race off to a quick start exchanging kills with FEU in the opening minutes of the game, with the first set tied at 16 at one point. But thanks to miscues and errors from the Lady Tamaraws, the Lady Falcons managed to come away with a first period win.

The second set needed extra rallies to determine a winner. After the contest was tied at 25, Faye Guevara converted on an ace to give AdU some breathing room. Not long after, Mands Villanueva converted a point of her own to give her team a two sets to none lead.

Adamson came out of the gates on fire in the third set, establishing a 20-6 lead. FEU was unable to comeback, and limped to their second defeat in four games (2-2).

No Lady Tamaraw scored in double figures. Remy Palma led her club in scoring with seven points, while Bernadeth Pons and Charlemagne Simborio combined for 12 points.

Both the Lady Falcons and Lady Tamaraws are tied for third place behind league-leaders La Salle and Ateneo, both of whom stand at 4-0.
